Wood has an immediate requirement for a graduate or student working toward a degree in Engineering or Physics and qualifying at the end of 2020. The successful candidate will join our Noise team reporting to the Manager, Asia Pacific. The role is based in our central Perth office and has come about due to sustained growth and ongoing team expansion. Wood has unique and world class engineering capability in the fields of Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN). Together, the Noise team supports resource and energy companies manage the impacts of noise and vibration generated by their operations on workers, neighbours and animals. Through working with us you will learn how to: - Scope, plan and deliver site testing, modelling and assessment work - Use structured thought to share, develop and communicate professional advice - Win consulting work through insight-based selling and strong interpersonal skills You will also learn through exposure to: - How oil & gas, mining and utilities equipment works and is operated - Applications of digital analytics to industrial problems - Working on site and in office environments The role includes enrolment in the two-year Wood Graduate Development Program and will be of interest if you seek to: - Apply your engineering skills to solve practical problems - Travel to client facilities in sometimes remote locations to perform complex and challenging test work - Work on oil & gas, mining and utilities assignments, gaining exposure a diverse variety of client organisations and cultures

TitleEngineering Intern - Flow Assurance

Wood is currently recruiting for an Engineering Intern to join our Automation & Controls team based in Perth, Western Australia. This role is offered for a three month assignment and the position will report to the Engineering Manager Automation & Controls. Our summer Vacation Program is designed for students looking for an early kick-start to their career. The program is available to students studying a degree in Chemical or Process engineering and be in their second to last year of university. It enables you to put what you’ve learned into practice and gain valuable work experience so that you may experience first-hand what it's like to work on real projects prior to graduation. To equip you with the knowledge and tools to successfully complete your work during the program, you will undertake an induction on your first day with the company and be assigned a buddy. When the intern assignment concludes, you may be offered the opportunity to work part-time throughout the year or offered a Graduate role with us – meaning you could finish your last year of study knowing you have secured a position with a global leader in engineering consulting. This will be dependent on operational requirements at that time and is not guaranteed.
